If you're not following the debate, the centrists want to take the win and pass the infrastructure bill immediately, while the Democratic leadership insists it first be tied to the boat anchor of their spending bill, and passed months from now.

If you --and they-- don't support the budget bill please come out and say it instead of couching it in language that suggests that in a way that undermines trust.

My position is that legislation that can pass and have an immediate economic impact shouldn't be held hostage for months to get through a much less certain spending bill.

Since only Dems are needed to pass the spending bill, why assume that it will take months to pass and why not exhort them to pass it quickly instead of uncoupling the two?

This choice of deadline is based on when transportation programs (funded in the infrastructure bill) expire. I can't imagine it not slipping in reality, given the size of the bill.
