lol I feel they know it’s stupid, but just see everyone else doing it, think that’s what they’re supposed to do, & just have a lingering feeling of ‘if this really was as stupid as it sounds, someone would definitely confirm that, right?’ or they’re trust fund kids who dgaf

There's definitely a strain of people who take being the teacher's pet all the way to PhD level. But I feel like they bought themselves a good education, just not the one they expected.
