Curious what the largest grain of salt sold at the Wuhan market is, so I can take it with Daszak's tweet. We know frozen anything is not a vector for covid, the paper itself says pangolins weren't sold, and somehow this key research from 2019 fortuitously emerges in June 2021. https://twitter.com/PeterDaszak/status/1401908087557177353 …

I miss the early days of the pandemic, when I could have full faith in the WHO, CDC, Nature, and the Lancet instead of having to feel like a foil-hatted wingnut who has to assemble the real story from random tweetspic.twitter.com/6waAYfDdlO

More Daszak-adjacent fishiness here. Again, whatever weird thing is going on here does't prove or disprove any covid origin hypothesis. But it's really weird just as a standalone phenomenon. What's with all the dissembling?https://twitter.com/ontweeterdotcom/status/1403772241981083648 …

There's a long video of these two sitting side by side on stage at the event so it's not a question of memory. I suppose the next step is Maxmen can claim her account got hacked when she denied knowing the guy.

Basically there's been an orchestrated effort to attack the lab leak line of inquiry, where the participants have been pretty eager to hide that they're working together. And none of this is happening in China, so we don't have to pearl-clutch about whether to investigate it

Why can't we just have an ordinary pandemic where the world races to find a cure and then take it when it's found, and there's not 19 layers of stupid at every step of the process

Yet another twist in the Daszak story. He has been one of the people most active in attacking lab escape scenarios, and gone to some lengths to disguise those efforts. https://twitter.com/niubi/status/1407318970894589952 …

People were circulating videos claiming that it was a bioweapon. They may have been afraid of losing any possibility of collaborating with Chinese scientists or afraid Chinese peers would be harassed.

right, it seems like they just wanted to shut down any inquiry to protect their own interests. We certainly are in the dark about origins, any claims of certainty rn are pretty silly

Here's what I don't get. Even if video surfaces of like Xi Jinping dropping barrels labeled Coronavirus, in english, with giant painted skulls and crossbones, on Wuhan's water supply, it would help with absolutely jack shit. What are other govts going to do abt it, send a bill?

So, like, what's the point? if it's not going to help in any way, why set millions of dollars on fire looking for that RIGHT NOW? There's better things to waste money on, like the CDC or the fucking FDA.
