Possible, but the only time an R won a majority in the last 30 years, the entire press/media was praising him 24/7 as our great war leader.
Republicans won the presidency by popular vote once in the last thirty years. And the trends are all heading away from them.
Dems have won popular vote in 7 of last 8 Presidential elections. No Republican (who wasn't incumbent VP or POTUS) has won popular vote since 1980. Seems safe to discount possibility of clear GOP majority wins. Based on demographics, GOP likely never wins popular vote again.
