The thing I really enjoy about non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and "smart contracts" more broadly is that there's no way to get them to point to information or objects outside the blockchain without introducing a trusted third party, the whole thing you set up a blockchain to avoid.

There's an ongoing debate about ownership of items, especially when a games company abandons servers, but yeah. Ah well! I'm sure a practical use case will show up.

Yeah ownership of games is an issue but back to crypto, if the Industry decided to use it I feel like it would drawa attention to them and they may not like that at all, espeically considering the shadyness it has.
