This might be valid if there were any viable chance to get access to facts necessary to investigate it scientifically for parties capable of doing so, but that seems highly unlikely. In absence of that, any "probe" is just political puffery.

Yeah. Plus when you preemptively appease China you miss out on videos of unexpected celebrities apologizing in Mandarin
