Yup, how seasonable (is that even a word?) this thing is even with vaccinations / natural immunity is my last big covid question. Once we have a good handle on that I think the next few years are pretty much figured out.
Went to six flags yesterday, saw the sign that masks are now optional and that was when i realized covids over
I feel like the only way we avoid a complete train wreck is if one or more vaccines are approved for kids aged 5-12 before school starts up in the fall (and no breakthrough variants that the vaccines aren't effective against happen before then)
Because if that doesn't happen, there will inevitably school closures and kids who need to quarantine, which means parents have to stay home, etc. That snowball effect that ultimately creates pressure to do shutdowns will only go away once kids are vaccinated.
We need to pull out all the stops to get people vaccinated. Mobile clinics, lotteries, mandates. I don't really care, whatever works. Schools & businesses must be fully opened.
