To be fair, the Polish writing system is also a giant fraud. Worst decision ever by some 12th century monk to go with an alphabet missing half the sounds of the language.

At least we were lucky to never see Chinese characters, the worst thing that can happen to a writing system. Intellectually irresistible ideas that cause social harm far predate cryptocurrency! Some Japanese monk was impressed by a scroll and doomed 60 generations of schoolkids

Not to mention, English is poorly suited to be our era’s lingua franca, due to deep orthography (distance between spoken and written forms). By contrast, in the ancient West, Latin was a superior lingua franca. Suomi (Finnish) has possibly the shallowest contemporary orthography.

Certainly true for writing. But a nice feature of English as lingua franca is that you can learn 300 words and four sentence patterns and it's already helpful
