Ignore the example links for now, as I won't bother doing them until we've ironed out the final API. The goal right now is to converge on a design that works for people.

The current API (which is a clone of 2003-era delicious) will stay in place for people who depend on it. The goal of the new one is to make the site a little less developer-hostile

POST /auth – do I get a 401 or 403 for a bad password? Or does “invalid” mean something other than wrong in this context?pic.twitter.com/TERk1x9WLf

As I understand it you should get a 403 for the valid username + wrong password combo

“This API call is limited to accounts with fewer than 100,000 bookmarks”
That’s a lotta bookmarks.
Docs notes:
* Possibly link to the backup settings there?
* /delta/tabs is talking about notes, not tab sets. -
Ah, thanks for catching that!

I’m a light API user who just has a couple of scripts. These changes look pretty nice to me.

The authentication portion is workable but unusual. Bearer-Token auth is pretty standard in current service APIs. Can't recall ever having to provide a username along with the token; tokens should be globally unique anyway, and storing/tracking usernames isn't desirable.

"You'll also find an error code and message in the body of the JSON response." -- this is nice. Also the 599 error code is great.

X-Reset-Timestamp is a Y2038 problem and most things have easy built-in timestamp parsing now. But mostly I bet v2 clients will just ignore these and ask for data until they get a 429 response.
