It's almost as if what Basecamp did generated more harm globally than those PAC donations by companies which employ many of the folks who hurried to post snarky comments about Basecamp.

So when people don’t leave tech jobs in principle and just complain on internal message boards, you don’t like that, and when they do, you don’t like that either, and also you think they should organize but that their problems are basically fake?
-
Maybe you should be encouraging them in acting on their stated beliefs and taking them as an example for others rather than whining about how they aren’t doing exactly the right thing in exactly the right way in response to a precisely sufficient enough offense

I don't see why this "industry" is labeled as progressive, still Social networks entertain fascist discourse, gig companies lower wages, blockchain devastates the environnement Basecamp is none of that but SV has objectively leaned heavily conservative in recent years
-
That's the whole reason I'm annoyed. The median SV worker supports a raft of policies that their employer works hard to oppose. But they don't do anything to change it

I don’t get it, man. You want tech workers to organize for their working conditions but “not like that”? What’s the bar?
-
The bar is any attempt at organizing? The pattern over and over again in this industry has been drama followed by taking a severance package.
