Don't think they're inconsistent at all! I'm calling for rethinking the underlying systems that the super clear guidelines and governance will sit on top of, changing what they amplify and introducing more friction

Maybe I'm not understanding you fully, then. In my eyes it seems like a Facebook version of a "state of emergency", which just reintroduces the governance problem. The fact that the "more friction" is in irreconcilable tension with the business model also seems like bad news
