Franken resigned, Conyers resigned, Katie Hill (inexplicably) resigned. In this case, if the Congressperson won't take action, and their party leaders won't take action. At a certain point, doesn't the leadership of the legislative body have an obligation to take action?

I agree it's a dangerous precedent, and I'm uncomfortable with the political aspect of it too. But if the rules that govern conduct of elected representatives are not enforced in some way shape or form, then that is the point of even having those rules?
