I'm not talking about a boycott, just not spending $4M on an utterly safe seat in a circular bonfire. At least keep some of the money you raise if you're going to go down this route! Or if you burn the money, use it on ads that talk about you or your policy, not just solicit more

Again, we can have a highly theoretical debate on what it means to run as a high-profile woman in a corrupt and unfair world, and the tradeoffs that requires. It's Twitter, after all! Or we could look at the actual ads that campaign run and the money spent vs. money raised

Thank you! The one thing I was absolutely wrong about was presupposing we wouldn't win Georgia. That was a very nice surprise. But as for the long-term political danger coming from our losing fair elections, rather than the losers rigging or subverting them, I stand my ground.

As in many cases of authoritarianism and democratic backsliding, they do win some elections while also trying to subvert or rig some they don't. (Only those from the Coup region of France are real: this was a sparkling mob followed by a sparkling attempt on the floor Congress.)

You have to say "coup d'état region" for this joke to land, otherwise it's not as funny

If I said that someone would shortly be along to tell me the difference between a self-coup and a coup d'état, so was avoiding that, but can't avoid you're doing the joke wrong part!

Guys, you need to start a podcast. This punchy, but lighthearted thread is a gem.
