The fuss here is political theater targeted at a specific audience. When I go to see a play and someone gets shot in Act IV, my decision about whether to call 911 is going to depend very heavily about whether it takes place on stage or out in the audience.
Show me on the doll where I am dismissing anything about this. My argument is that this is a (very real) political battle and we should treat it as such.

Fair play, I'm sure you do see this as serious. I do think that labelling this as a political battle instead a bona fide attempt to steal an election has real ramifications for this country's democracy.

People who lose political battles get to stick around to pass laws, or try and subvert another election. People who launch failed coup attempts rarely do. I think labelling this the former increases the chance for another (possibly successful) subversion of an election
