One thing I’m dying to know is how your cloud costs look against 2-3x DevOps salaries + on-prem. If either of you would be willing to share? Even percentage differences would be super interesting to see.

I'm afraid I don't understand the question. I do everything myself and running boxes is much less work than trying to administer a similar setup on AWS

I am fascinated by the idea that, simultaneously, Bezos is a money-grubbing bastard, and that people should use AWS a lot. It seems obvious on the face of it that using AWS is a way of giving Bezos money that you could be having instead. 1/
