Your analogy needs to include "parked in the same neighborhood for weeks, where we know several major gangs of thieves operate..." How many campaigns at least mandated SMS 2-factor? That alone has a huge impact on phishing and related attacks.

Yes, people worked extremely hard to avoid a repeat of 2016 but I don’t think campaign security has improved...fortunately that’s not the only way to deter influence ops/interference. But it’s FAR too early to celebrate a lack of activity. To quote Krebs, it’s just halftime.
