If you're into collecting dogs that didn't bark, in November 2019 there was only a 14% chance based on actuarial tables that all 100 senators (who are very, very old) would live until November 2020. That was before the pandemic, and yet here we are, with all our codgers intact.

Even if you think that political power and the fancy Senate health plan makes the actuarial tables irrelevant (which I dispute), the ability of America's poshest old folks' home / unventilated deliberative body to keep the Grim Reaper at bay through a pandemic year is remarkable
