Our final rough totals: in 2020, we raised $3,052,000 for the five House campaigns on the Great Slate, and $2,782,000 for 52 state house campaigns on the State Slate. That's a lot of money, and I hope it helped everyone run the campaign they envisioned, with fewer constraints

To everyone who contributed to this project, thank you! We'll find out in the coming days if this model of helping downballot has the impact we hoped. But however it shakes out, you made a huge difference in the lives of these candidates, who were able to give it their best shot

As
@adamjodonnell points out, if you're still tempted to panic give today, take that money and put it in an Al Gore-style lockbox. You can donate it in 2021, when the fundraising environment for important state and local races will be ashes and tumbleweeds.Show this thread -

No. You should fund people you'd like to stay in politics, even if they miss this round. Think of this as "funding the bench" time.

Yeah, for sure, but don't throw it on their 2020 money pyre. Earmark it for next time

My god Maciej how does it feel to be, ever so briefly, done? Do you get the urge to ask your family to give money to things just out of habit?
