I'm curious why you acknowledged the weakness of the impeachment argument to win over enough voters in the polls but not the weakness of the president's current position in the polls. 2016 polls were only off at the state level, and 2018 polls were quite accurate.

for example, most polls of the Midwest battle ground states have significantly increased the share of non college white voters in their polling samples. These are major adjustments since 2016. The WCW vote is captured in the polls already.

I don’t think he’s addressing those voters? He’s just going to airports where they are. Doubt many City of Reading residents were there...

I think you’re right to be worried and I’m baffled by the Biden/Harris attention on long-shot non-tipping-point states (or, alternately, alarmed) but Berks and Lancaster counties were ofc some of Trump’s strongest vote-magnets in PA in 2016.

I just happen to know Allentown and Reading (both places where there have been these rallies) and it ties in to my sense of alarm about the Latino vote being taken for granted, because Trump winning with its help would be very on-brand for this hellyear

Trump won Berks by almost 10% in 2016. He needs to keep that margin if he has any chance.

And he’s holding the rally at the regional airport outside the city... it’s a convenient outdoor venue to draw in the suburban swing voters he needs to pull back
