PACs have a direct link to potentially motivated activists, and instead the _only_ thing they can think of is asking for money! I still give the money but I have little faith in the party aparatus doing anything but fundraising (see McGrath fundraising post RBG)

Beyond prez primary lists I have never gotten a "help phone bank" or "try X" thing beyond money asks. Maybe this is a consequence of PACs, but in that case... what's the point? Shovelling money into ads? It's a nice subsidy for media markets I guess.
