I didn't actually do the research when we moved to Jersey and assumed that weird liquor laws were a Midwestern thing (aside from Pennsylvania's state liquor board which I knew about from
@rjbs) and WELP. There's no grocery-store wine here... except where there is? It's weird. -
…and now some Pennsylvania groceries have wine and beer! Why, just last night I was drinking grocery store vermouth.

Aldi/Trader Joe's: no wine. Wegman's: liquor store inside the store, separate checkstands (vs. Kansas where they have to have wholly separate entrances). Rastelli's: huge wine/beer section, wine end-caps everywhere, all the same checkstands. I assume it depends on bribe level.
