I don't get the hatred of AOC.

Like I mean, I accept that it exists. I just don't understand where it comes from.

Bernie Sanders just needs to worry about getting his own supporters on board. He’s got plenty of work to do.
-
so far this thread: Biden shouldn’t campaign with progressives. progressives need to show up for Biden.

Biden should never appear with her. But AOC can be helpful focusing on GOTV of Hispanic labor. Bernie definitely exceeded expectations with that demographic in eg Nevada and TX (but not FL obviously)

Why should they court the mythical suburban republican with a heart? Isn't it a safer idea to mobilize the diverse and disenchanted base who didn't even vote in 2016? Biden shouldn't distance himself from the future of the democratic party anyways.
-
The problem with mobilizing people that don't vote as your strategy is that they don't vote, as Bernie found out a couple of times now

Do you honestly think we would ever win the vote of someone who sees AOC as the "devil"?
-
The centrist Dem commitment to losing strategies is remarkable. Their reasoning is blatantly inconsistent too. Yes according to dubious polls AOC has a low approval rating among Republicans (22%) but it’s still better than the previous nominee: 4% (lower than Omar!), 36% overall.
