There's also a kind of flattening belief that democracy will end November 4 if the guy is re-elected. We've had this kind of thinking from the beginning, and it is paralyzing and unhelpful. The authoritarian slide is a long dance with many steps, and there's plenty of fight left

I love your work and appreciate your opinions. You come from a privileged place of not having kids, and a flexible and relatively secure job. It is legit terrifying to think we will have to endure another four years. It’s not a helpful thought, but it’s one I often have.
