I think Mailchimp is the best of the worst here. These are just deeply ingrained surveillance practices that have infected the entire industry
On the flip side of the coin, many email service providers use aggregate metrics from tracking pixels as part of their efforts to stop users from sending unsolicited email; without said tracking, there would be more actual spam in the world.
