Is it me, or does every health system in the country now have an unskippable three minute recorded message about coronavirus, which you have to listen to at the start of any phone interaction (scheduling care, refilling Rx, anything)?

"If this is an emergency please hang up and dial 911" *static* "Please pay attention to our options as they've changed" *static* "Para español marque el dos" *static* "This phone call may be recorded for quality purposes" *static* "This phone call causes cancer in California"...

Can confirm, sucks even more than hearing “listen carefully as our options have recently changed,” when you know damn well they fired whoever installed the system and they literally can’t change them anymore.

It's been like that in India since March, but it's only about 30 seconds and it's about 90% of calls, regardless of who you're calling.

I get such a message weekly. After some irritation, I've decided by force of will that is an Act of Kindness, and anything else I could do would be more of a pain, and that seems to work.
