The stance of holding Trump personally responsible for all US pandemic deaths is a left-wing analogue of calling it the "China Virus". These include the CDC, state governments, Congress (which sent itself home on multiple vacations during the worst of the early crisis), the Republican Party, and academia. Personalizing the failure to Trump robs us of a chance to do important dunking.
