I don't think that true. Both want Trump reelected. Russia for obvious reasons. China is playing the long game, any short term pain is more than offset by Trump's damage to the US's long term prospects and the opportunities that provides for China.

I would go a step further, the delay of another 4 years, without considered decision making will make so much hard for the US to retain/regain it advantage in numerous technical/industrial fields.
