If you haven't read Kim Kardashian's words on her husband's illness (excerpted here) it's worth a few minutes of your time. Continually mentioning his bipolar disorder in the same sentences as words like “brilliant” “genius” “big dreams”, etc., lends a glossy Kardashian finish that romanticizes mental illness. My dad was bipolar and he was a fucking idiot. The two have nothing to do with each other.

Yeah, Kardashians are gonna Kardashian. But overall I thought this was a pretty heartfelt call for empathy.
