There's a second variation on this, which is 1. The act itself wasn't violent seen in isolation 2. But it brought harrassment to someone, or could have 3. And the performer of the act knew this would happen 4. So the act was violent

Previously violence required conscious action or negligence operating something dangerous. Now everything we do can be violent so if we're not comfortable with the new world, it's easier to minimize interaction.

To be fair, the original context of the tweet was the fact that a white Anglophone man (George R R Martin, to be specific) spent the whole awards ceremony he was MCing mispronouncing the names of women, POC, and people from non-Western European countries who were the nominees.
