Schlepping back to the data center, and I want to hear war stories! What's the biggest amount of data you ever had to move, and how did you move it? I physically drive a 37TB backup drive to datacenters but I am a minnow in this particular ocean of suffering. Tell me things!

Knowing your dedication to that kind of backup makes me really trust you with data!

Worked with a client whose data transfer was to do two backups and send the media via two different airplanes for redundancy. Each backup was so physically large it required an entire airplane.

And there I was trying to figure out compression and data transfer speeds. I mentioned this and they said, "Oh we'll just use a plane". "A plane?", I said meekly, trying not to sound too out of my league. "And one for backup, just in case". Problem solved.
