The one thing I feel people in my world don't understand about Trump voters is that even if they're extremely frustrated with Trump personally, they really appreciate having a not-Democrat in office to block all the things (real or imagined) a Democratic president would do.
I'm sorry, but I am confused now. You asked for actual examples of persuadable Trump voters and I gave them to you. At that point I lost the thread. What exactly is our disagreement?

you think that if you acknowledge a voter's racism then you are "writing them off" and suggesting they're a "snidely whiplash motivated by hate." I think that being dishonest about what people are is a bad thing.

Okay, I think I understand better. My answer is that calling Trump voters racist is irrelevant and counterproductive. It also hampers our understanding of people's motives, which is what I call the cartoon version ("I'll vote against my self-interest just to hurt someone")

I asked for people. Show me any individual people who are "frustrated" and "persuadable" because then we (you and I as a collective) can discuss the realities of what they are, not some clumped together voting bloc that ignores their choices.
