The one thing I feel people in my world don't understand about Trump voters is that even if they're extremely frustrated with Trump personally, they really appreciate having a not-Democrat in office to block all the things (real or imagined) a Democratic president would do.
Our shared reality is we live in a country where 63 million people voted for Trump and we need some of them to vote the other way, or he will be re-elected. I'm interested in finding out what motivated that vote and what proportion of it can be won over, rather than written off

who said anything about writing them off? I said use the correct words to describe them, and you are unwilling to acknowledge why you won't do that. I believe that you're writing them off by assuming that if you say what they are they won't listen to you.
