Even if you don't share my rea... er, pessimism about the Presidential election, try to keep yourself open to the idea of Trump winning a second term, so it's not paralyzing when it happens. A lot can happen in three months, and we live in a divided country. The fight will go on

Again, if you don't know some Trump voters personally, don't trust your gut feeling about how the election will go. Most of us at this point live in ideological isolation from one another and have a hard time even understanding how the other side can exist, short of being evil

The Great Slate equivalent for the Senate is the Great Slate. We fund the rural House races in those four states precisely because it's not clear that additional direct Senate donations can be usefully spent. It's an indirect strategy to help those Senate candidates win

The data to support it is the simple observation that most first-term presidents get re-elected. I agree with you that there is very little predictive power 100 days out, particularly in as weird a year as this.
