It would be illegal for Facebook or Google to directly skim political donations made through their platform, but it's what they are doing legally, with extra steps. It's funny when it involves politicians who make a career out of lambasting them, but the problem is structural

I get the cinicism but I think that she has to use the platform because everyone uses it. Not doing so would only hurt her chances, even if they'd still be high. Legislation would affect everyone equally, so even as a FB advertiser she could still propose something...
