I have my taxes done and it's kind of nuts that I can't just submit it to the IRS website. Unless I'm reading things wrong, I need to go through a paid intermediary to eFile. And the entire top set of Google results for filing taxes is taken up by paid ads.

Yea, it's nuts. I still mail my taxes, because AFAICT you can't just fill out the PDFs yourself and upload them somewhere.
