Dear lazyweb: a Chrome question for you. I am working on a site locally, all hostnames defined in /etc/hosts, extensions off, yet Chrome hangs a lot on load with the message "resolving host..." Any idea what this is, or how to investigate it further?

Now the important question: who do I murder, and in what order?

TIL IPv6 is, in fact, a real thing that exists in the real world so much so that it's actually breaking things. That's progress!

interestingly we never esp hear about ipv4 breaking things, prolly because a) ipv6 isn't deployed everywhere, b) even where it is deployed, there are often hidden dependencies on v4 & c) not everyone knows how to isolate the problem so it's just "the network is down"
