What's the oldest piece of continuously working code you maintain as part of your job? For me it's probably 2008-era bits of Pinboard.

There's an annoying stigma in our industry against old code but I love to hear the stories. I know COBOL programmers get their tweets by teletype, but I hope we hear from them

Look at all that horribly outdated code out there, like everything that runs our banking system, weapons, email, computer operating systems, health care system, cars, planes, space program and internet!

Newish codebase, but there are a few things in our codebase still named “parse” because the backend used to be Parse

There are assembler modules I work on that were written in late 60’s to support Apollo. Today we run a good chunk of Western civilization ( such as it is ).

The policy management system has code from as early as 1983 and is still running.
