We're just about $25K shy of our goal for the State Slate—an effort to put about twenty grand in the coffers of great state legislative candidates in close races. You can read about the effort here: https://techsolidarity.org/resources/state_slate.html …, but let me just profile a couple of them in person

Her district spans the urban/rural divide in the state, covering part of Gainesville in the east, and rural areas with crappy broadband and poor health care in the west. She's running on health care and education, like so many others, but also on water quality, a key local issue

I could go on in this vein. The thing that unites State Slate candidates is that they are in close races, they have a relatively low campaign budget to raise, and they are dedicated public servants who are trying to bring better health care and public education to their districts

You can help them run the best campaign they can right now, with a donation big or small, so they can spend every minute of the next four months talking to voters, and not trying to figure out where to scrape up a few thousand dollars during a pandemichttps://secure.actblue.com/donate/state_slate …

The absolute dollar amounts standing between us and critical issues like medicaid expansion, fair redistricting, gun safety, police reform are staggeringly small. And yet in states like Florida, state-level Democrats are being outspent 6:1!https://twitter.com/lbent/status/1282078032803450880 …

Less that $16K between us now and our goal for this first round of state legislators. If there's any year to really put our backs into winning close, contested races, it's 2020. Redistricting alone will decide a lot of political fates for the next decade.https://secure.actblue.com/donate/state_slate …
