Do you know why tech companies do this? Not like most of the politicians they support are supportive of them. At least on twitter they aren't.
There are a couple of possible answers to this. The one I prefer is, because their employees let them get away with it. Microsoft makes lots of money from government contracts and would love to be friends with everyone to keep that money flowing.
