Being a Gibson owner I'm sorely tempted to snark at this, but I will absolutely admit that Fenders are great for fretwanking and I have a no kinkshaming policy on main.https://twitter.com/Pinboard/status/1272590957817376768 …

In fairness to them they reached out fairly promptly after I opened a dispute, and have apparently been swamped in recent weeks.

This is good, but I was going for the "it's a fender, defective is what you're paying for" faux-holy-war thing anyway :D Lots of people seem to be adopting pets during lockdown so I'm guessing "taking up an instrument" is also spiking as a thing, so swamped makes sense.

Also,
@nokusu recently bought a fender to learn to play. I'm english. He's french. We're friends. *Obviously* I had to subtweet his choice of instrument. Her Majesty would be unamused if I didn't :D1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
The best thing about getting a defective guitar was that it immediately became the reason for any deficits I had as a player. Stupid guitar, always fretting the wrong notes!
