I'm not sure they're low risk with quite that density of people :(

I'm pretty sure they are. But my point isn't so much who is right, as that your decision to go or stay home will depend on your personal risk assessment much more than we take into account when comparing lockdowns.

The lifting of restrictions was really badly communicated here. A lot of people don’t understand the nuance about 6 people, the weather is nice, everyone has been locked up, Cummings etc lots going on in this pic

We saw very similar behavior in California and pretty much anywhere else where police aren't chasing people away

That rock formation was in the news today because some people can't assess risk https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-dorset-52864454 …

I feel strongly that the seashore & sunshine at distance are safe and healthier for you than being cooped up inside

Beaches, I don’t see how different they are from many other places where people stay a close distance. If you consider these other places risky, beaches are risky. Otherwise you should consider most places not risky at all.

I’d say it has more to do with the PM’s scummy advisor cynically flouting lockdown rules and making a mockery of the whole thing, causing a lot of people who had previously adhered to the rules to say “fuck it”.

Okay, but we saw the same thing in California without any of that drama.
