One thing that worked well in Hong Kong, and might help now in the US, was the @OSINTHK effort coordinated by @comparativist to figure out where and when cell phone footage was taken in a chaotic protest context, to help document police brutality and debunk false rumors

A lesson from the Hong Kong protests is that police will lie about everything, but there is often enough uploaded video that one can reconstruct events with some degree of authority. The problem is this is resource and time intensive. But hit up @OSINTHK for guidance and ideas
