I know times don't feel hopeful, but we can have real change in November if we work at it. Here are four campaigns where your donations can have an outsized impact. Not only are they great candidates in their own right, but all are in pivotal Senate stateshttps://secure.actblue.com/donate/great_slate …

You can read much more about these races, and why I'm adamant about supporting them, here: https://techsolidarity.org/resources/great_slate.html … Whoever you choose to give to, and whether you choose to give your money or your time, supporting specific candidates will help you feel less despair and more hope.

On Tuesday, Iowa Republicans will vote whether to keep Steve King on the ballot. In 2018, with your help,
@JDScholten nearly beat King on his first run. An Intel engineer got the company PAC to stop giving to King's campaign. We nearly unseated a white nationalist congressman1 reply 1 retweet 8 likesShow this thread -
There's no one magic candidate or policy that's going to fix our democracy. We have to build pathways to put better people into office. That has to start with fundraising for politically talented candidates who would otherwise not have the means to mount an effective challenge.

A mulish optimism is the most effective weapon against the dark cynicism of the far right. You don't have to agree with me at all on who to support, but please put your back and wallet into supporting someone, whether it's locally or nationally, this November.

What do we want? Incremental change to slowly repair the basic institutions of American democracy! When do we want it? Starting in November, and accumulating piecemeal over future election years! Where do we want it? At the municipal, local, state, and Federal levels!
