I don't think the virus itself would have managed this clean sweep of front pages if it were freshly discovered. In dark times of institutional failure and general flailing, it's a comfort to know that at least Britain has shittier journalism than we do.

Let's just hope the Queen was alerted and that someone is there with her during this difficult time.

Honest question — why do you think it’s shitty journalism? This is an advisor to the most important man in the British government clearly disobeying the government rules to go see his parents, whilst many Britons couldn’t visit theirs even as they‘re dying or to bury them. (1/2)

He refused to take responsibility and apologise. This should be important. And the British public should be informed about it. Hence, the question — why is it shitty journalism? Genuinely curious. Thanks. (2/2)

UN research confirms that British media is aggressively bad. But I'm unsure of the point you're making here. Are you saying the virus is being used as a distraction?

I guess this story hasn’t really been covered out of Britain? One of the authors of the English regulations broke those same regulations by driving the length of the country, while he and his household knowingly were infected.

His wife wrote a false account for a newspaper, claiming that they never left their home in London. The UK Government has rewritten guidance on the fly over the last 48 hours to attempt to exonerate him.

One of the most powerful people in my country is in a hypocrisy scandal facing calls to resign. It's about the biggest issue facing us all. There are other stories on our virus response, but this is a big one, and new. You think this isn't a story? Or shouldn't be on front pages?

I think it is a big story; my problem with this mode of coverage is that it's the only story. The British press seems only able to function in megawatt spotlight mode
