Data continues to accumulate for the hypothesis that superspreading events drives the pandemic. As few as 1% (!) of infected people caused 80% of secondary infections in Israel. The reports I read had them as big sports halls with dividers between "rooms", but otherwise not much infection control. To be fair though, that was a few months ago, and central quarantine ideas have surely evolved since them

In NZ sick people self isolate with family/roommates. Some of those people also get infected.

Dig into the official NZ COVID-19 site . Small country, extensive documentation day by day (including connections between cases), you may see a pattern.
