FWIW, while I agree with
@Comparativist the goal should be to keep infections as low as possible, I think it's unlikely that the correlation between deaths and infections will be low in reality, and such variation as we observe likely reflects incomplete testing.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

For sure. The weird thing needing explaining isn't the disparity in outcomes, but the unusual geographic clustering of that disparity.
