It does if they are labeling them pneumonia or something else because there was no testing prior to death.
the way they determine excess death count is by looking at how many people normally die in previous years. the whole point is to understand the impact even when things are mislabeled
"deaths of patients diagnosed with coronavirus" doesn't sound like an excess death count graph
But this FT graph is of reported coronavirus deaths, not excess death count.
