There is something like 20% unemployment now and Americans are going to notice that other parts of the world seem to do fine with far less strict measures. We need to be honest with people that the lockdowns are a necessary precaution born of ignorance, not a moral imperative

This is way too nuanced for a lot of people though. “they’re lifting stay-at-home orders in Wyoming so we really need to open up everywhere now”. But yeah some places need to stay closed, others should start opening. I have zero faith anyone will properly discern which is which.

No country can do it twice, especially the US. So it's a sure thing bad thing will happen after you come out the lockdown if it's done without your own CDC guidelines ! If you don't listen to your own world class CDC ! What do you expect?
