I mean it’s kind of federalism working, where lots of states did ok, some got lucky and we had a real bad canary to scare everyone Into action. That said there’s a lot more beyond raw viral stats, ppe, confiscations and busting state budgets

The House could legislate all they want, but with the Senate and executive branch being controlled by people who either don't admit there's a problem or see it as an opportunity to exploit, what could they feasibly *do*? I hear you, though.

Set up a way to enable legislation and rules to be passed remotely, to allow the House to put pressure on the other two parties as needed. And create a fully-staffed committee/commission to provide real-time oversight of spending authorized by statue.
