I work in an industry where many of the most prominent people use twitter blocklists to make themselves less accountable, by making their words less visible. Everyone naturally thinks their twitter opponents are subhuman scum

I will never understand people who think they have a right to read someone else's tweets and reply to them. If someone has decided they don't want you engaging on their tweets, that's entirely fine.

I agree with you entirely on that. No one has a right to engage or reply. My issue is with high-follower people being able to disappear from your timeline (like when Trump blocked various critics, becoming invisible to them).
